Beginners Inn has made a long-term commitment to educate and entertain children of all ages. Our family has been making it simple and affordable for other families since 1977. Beginners Inn Summer Camp is a program geared toward children entering grades 1st through 6th grade. Our unique summer program is all about being on the go! This all day state-licensed program is designed to help children develop their values, make new friends, and most of all have fun. Each week is centered on a fun-filled theme, packed with arts and crafts, sports, games, team building activities, swimming, and many weekly field trips.
Our educated, well-trained, experienced, and dedicated camp counselors will assure a summer of adventures and fun. Our counselors will ensure that all children enrolled are challenged at developmentally appropriate levels and also experience daily successes.
In order to assure a safe, positive and respectful environment we are implementing a new program “Character Counts” into our Summer Day Camp. The program celebrates positive behaviors and delivers clear consequences for negative actions. In addition, relationships are built teacher to children, teacher to parent, parent to children, and teacher to teacher. We believe this will be most effective for our school agers rewarding them for being kind to others, lending a hand, using nice words and helping someone out. This form of positive discipline; recognizing and rewarding children for the good things they do will help all children to build self-esteem, have a positive attitude and be successful.
Lunch and snacks are provided to all campers. Children may choose to bring their own lunch and snacks daily. A Summer Lunch Menu will be provided to all families and posted in the school-age classrooms. Children will have the opportunity to be engaged in food service preparation throughout the summer program. This will assure children to develop self-confidence, independence and gain new self-help skills
